LIBBY WELSH

Performer, access consultant, researcher

I am a Deaf creative professional with experience of research, writing, and logistics, and a passion for television and film. I have worked in various roles in production, with extensive experience both on and off set.

I am currently working with the Creative Diversity Network as a Disability 101 trainer, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I pride myself on teaching in a judgement-free space, welcoming all voices into the space regardless of their experience or prior awareness of working with disabled people. We all have to start somewhere, and I aim to make that 'somewhere' a good place to start!

I have acted in numerous projects, from TV (casualty, Summer of Rockets) to short films (Alder, Firefly) and feature length films. I thrive in roles that require subtlety and nuance, with a soft spot for dry and quick witted characters.
